Classique First

After making several successful event sites during my time at Le Bureau Export — the French music export office, since folded into the Centre National de la Musique — I was given the chance to revamp their very outdated classical music news site.
Classique First! was rebuilt to follow French classical musicians abroad, in English, for an international audience. The site featured industry news, artist profiles, and concert listings.
I built the website in WordPress with the help of our team’s IT manager, created the information architecture and taxonomy plan, developed the content strategy, and then ran it as editor-in-chief once it went live.
The real work was the rhythm. A news site is only as good as its last week, so alongside everything else on my desk, Classique First! got an hour or two every day: new articles, updated artist pages, upcoming concerts, and the small, constant maintenance that keeps a site looking alive.
